This indoor bouldering gym is located in Sunae, a suburban area of Bundang. It is about 35 minutes south of Seoul. It is a newer gym which opened in the Spring of 2022. There is another branch in Gangnam if you live closer to Seoul.
There are 7 sections of boulder problem walls with an additional spray wall with adjustable angles. The walls are set with problems of various levels of difficulty, however you won’t find a ton of super easy climbs. They use a rainbow scale that does not have correlating V-scale, but the first 3 levels (red, orange, yellow) all feel close to V0/V1s. They also have been having staff create alternate boulder problems using holds that are already there, but marking all the holds on the problem with a specific tape color. This allows a greater number of problems without terribly crowding the wall with many holds.
When they first reset a new wall they often set competition style boulders in a variety of levels (from beginner to advanced) but they won’t tell you the level. After about a week or so, they will fill in the wall with other problems around the competition style ones, as well as accurately grade the competition problem accordingly.
A unique feature of this gym is an adjustable-angle spray wall. It is a decent length across, and can be adjusted to different overhanging angles to give you a near endless variety of challenges.
There is a small training area with many types and styles of hangboards and training tools. There are multiple pinch blocks you can use as well as a weight belt that you can use to do weighted hangs or pullups. Foam rollers of many styles and yoga mats can be used in the middle stretching area or the small upstairs training zone.
They also have a water purifier you can use to refill your bottle or drink from a paper cup provided. You can have hot or cold water, and ice which is great for the summer sessions. There are drinks for sale if you would like to purchase something a little sweeter than water.
It is located in B1 of the Cheung Gu Bluevill Building (청구블루빌) and has changing rooms with showers available for use. There is also a foot bath located outside both changing areas, with basic toiletries and small towels provided for drying off in both the foot bath and showers. This is a lovely touch and is great if you want to hit the gym before going to work or meeting up with friends, without bringing all of your showering necessities along with you.
You will need to fill out a waiver form including your details before you climb: Name, birthdate, phone number, climbing level, address, and time you arrived. It costs 20,000₩ for a day pass.
